Role Purpose

We are looking for a highly versatile, relentlessly driven, and impact-obsessed Operations Associate to join our Operations Team, the core engine of our tech-enabled agricultural supply chain.

This role is for a self-starter who doesn't just execute, but owns and elevates operational processes. You will blend meticulous execution with a forward-thinking mindset, constantly seeking ways to leverage technology, data, and automation to scale our impact across the agricultural landscape.

Reporting to the Senior Operations Associate/VP of Operations, you will collaborate across the entire organization, from field teams to product engineers, to ensure a scalable, efficient, and data-driven supply chain that delivers tangible value to Nigerian farmers and businesses.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Ownership and Process Automation

  • Proactively identify manual, repetitive, or bottleneck-prone operational tasks and processes (e.g., reporting, data entry, follow-ups).

  • Conceptualize, champion, and assist in implementing tech-based solutions and low-code/no-code automations (e.g., using tools like Zapier or Make.com) to significantly improve speed and reduce human error.

  • Systems Design: Take initiative to design, document, and implement actionable systems and processes from scratch that can withstand rapid growth and scale.

Strategic Research and Data-Driven Insights

  • Conduct in-depth, highly detailed research on market trends, competitor strategies, emerging agricultural technologies, and regulatory landscapes to inform operational and strategic decisions.

  • Systematically gather, synthesize, and analyze stakeholder feedback (internal and external) and market data to provide actionable, evidence-based insights to the Product and Engineering teams, influencing the development of scalable tech solutions.

  • Collect, organize, and rigorously analyze operational, sales, and logistical data using advanced Excel/spreadsheet functions to track KPIs and identify critical trends and areas for immediate improvement.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications Required

  1. Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Technology, or a related analytical field.

  1. Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience working with impact-driven organizations (e.g., high-growth start-ups, NGOs, social enterprises) where driving measurable social or economic change was a core mandate.
  • 1-3 years of proven professional experience in project management, operational support, business analysis, or highly analytical support role.
  • Experience in the agri-techlogistics, FMCG, or a similarly fast-paced, complex supply chain environment is a strong advantage.
  1. Skills:

  • A genuine, demonstrable interest in applying technology to solve business problems.

  • A clear aspiration for career growth and increased responsibility is critical.
  • Familiarity with no-code/low-code tools (like Zapier, Make.com) or basic scripting/coding is a major plus.
  • The ability to work independently, define your own goals within a strategic framework, and see tasks through to completion without constant supervision.
  • Your work must reflect an exceptional eye for detail, especially when conducting research, managing data, and documenting complex processes.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word for data analysis and reporting.
